Our Lady of La Vang is a state of the art, contemporary, spacious and safe learning environment for students with intellectual disability. The inside and outside environments interact with each other and are designed to encourage transparency and sensory engagement in learning. We value the role of the environment in creating healthy and happy relationships.
The inside and outside learning spaces encourage enjoyment, dialogue and thinking. Students play in and manipulate the world around them and this gives them a sense of agency, delight and control in their learning and in their lives.
Learning happens when students are fully engaged with their senses in all of their learning experiences.
