Intensive Interaction

Intensive Interaction

Intensive Interaction is a relational approach that encourages the use of the fundamental skills of communication with individuals who are at an early stage of communication development.

“We communicate with our kids at their level and that means sitting, watching and copying what they do, we follow their lead. They learn to be with other people, to communicate and to wait and take turns, you get on the same wave length as them and have a chat. We the adults are the learners, we are learning their language, boy that’s a privilege. Its grown me!” (Jackie, Intensive Interaction Coordinator).

“Intensive Interaction is mainly with the non verbal children and they love it. Its like talking to each other without words. They speak to each other through signs and laughs and things” (student).

Why we value what we do.

"I have come that you may have life and have it to the full" (John 10:10)
